Links
We've put together a list of websites that we think you should check out. Some are official Bon Jovi websites, some are fan-run Bon Jovi websites, and some aren't even Bon Jovi related, but we feel that they're important enough for us to promote them.
If you have a Bon Jovi website that you'd like us to link to here, then simply add a link to http://www.destin8.com/~ByJovi/ on your website, and then email us the URL of your website.
If you're prepared to actively promote By Jovi on your website, for example by adding a link to our website on every page of your website, then we will give your website increased visibility on By Jovi in return. Email us to discuss this, if you're interested...
Official Bon Jovi websites
Official Canadian Bon Jovi website
This is the place to go to find out Canadian-specific Bon Jovi info. This one Bon Jovi page contains press releases, TV alerts, photos, and links to streaming audio and video tracks. No need for the Flash plug-in here though! :)
Official German Bon Jovi website
This website is (not surprisingly) in German... and it focuses mostly on the latest Bon Jovi album and singles released in Germany. In the past they have done a good job of posting TV alerts relevant to Germany, and they run their own competitions too. They have a message board on the website as well, so that German fans can chat in their own language. This website no longer requires the Flash plug-in, but their chat room requires Java to be enabled.
Official Japanese Bon Jovi website
This is the official website for Japan. It's in Japanese, so unless you have the necessary support on your computer for Japanese fonts you won't be able to read it. They seem to update it with the latest news on a regular basis, and they also offer streaming audio/video of some songs, and the odd photo or two, too. This is another website that doesn't require the Flash plug-in. :)
Official UK Bon Jovi website
Now redirects to the USA website. The UK website used to be at http://www.bon-jovi.com but this seems to be defunct now. The write-up for when that URL worked though, was: "This is the UK's official website... not much in the way of content though."
Official USA Bon Jovi website
This is the first official website the band had, and it's focused primarily on USA events, but does now cover some international news & events too. This is the largest (and by far the best!) out of all the official websites. Everyone should pay this one a visit! Be warned that it is very graphics-intensive, and will be slow on a dial-up/56k modem connection, but it looks great! You don't need the Flash plug-in for this website, but you will need Java enabled in order to access the chat room when they have it running (they have never allowed IRC access). This website also has a message board as well.
Official Bon Jovi "Have A Nice Day Tour" website
As well as having full details about Bon Jovi's "Have A Nice Day Tour", this website also includes a "multimedia" section (posters, banners, icons, wallpaper, audio and video), a "road blog" section (set lists from the tour), and an "on the road" section (photos from the tour). You should note that this website requires the Flash plug-in.
Official Bon Jovi and Bon Jovi solo-member related websites
Philadelphia Soul
Jon is a majority shareholder (and Richie a minority shareholder) in the Philadelphia Soul -- an AFL football team, based in Philadelphia, USA.
Rock Star Baby
Tico has designed a range of clothing for babies and toddlers, with a few items for mum and dad, too!
Official Bon Jovi solo-member websites
Official Jon Bon Jovi website -- offline, as of 06/2006.
Jon's official website is only made active when he's working on a solo album. If the website shows as "under construction" or the server just isn't available, then it means that Jon is busy working on band projects, and you should go and check out the appropriate band website instead.
Official Richie Sambora website -- offline, as of 06/2006.
Richie's official website is currently offline. Stay tuned for updates!
Official David Bryan website -- officially launched: 01/02/2003.
David's official website concentrates on his "Lunar Eclipse" album, both content and design-wise. It doesn't mention his previous releases at all, and claims "Lunar Eclipse" is his first release. Hmmm. To set the record straight, David also released "On A Full Moon" in 1994, which, while very similar to "Lunar Eclipse", has a couple of different tracks. This website is very nicely done though, and has a ton of photos, although there is no streaming audio to listen to David's music. There's an online store as well, where you can buy various t-shirts and even an autographed plaque. This website works best with the Flash plug-in, but you can still access most of the website even if you don't have it.
Official Tico Torres website -- under construction, as of 06/2006.
Tico's official website is currently a work in progress, with just a holding page in place. We'll let you know when we notice any updates to it! :)
Official Hugh McDonald website -- officially launched: 22/08/2003.
Hugh's website started out as an unofficial fan website in 2001, but it has since been made official by Hugh! The website is split into clear sections making it easy to navigate, and it uses no Flash or Java. As well as a message board, fans can also interact with the website by submitting photos and stories from meetings with Hugh. Also, the "Just Ask" section (where Hugh answers questions submitted by fans) is up and running. Check it out!
Official Bon Jovi fan club website
Backstage With Jon Bon Jovi
Backstage With Jon Bon Jovi (BWJBJ) is the only official Bon Jovi fan club, worldwide. Jon's mother runs BWJBJ, and it is considered to be a band fan club, although Jon is involved much more than any of the other band members. BWJBJ stopped accepting new members at midnight on December 31st 2005.
Bon Jovi merchandise websites
EIL / Esprit
Your first stop for any "collectable" Bon Jovi item should be EIL / Esprit, as they carry a huge range of Bon Jovi items in their catalogue. They have Bon Jovi CDs (albums and singles), DVDs, cassettes (albums and singles), videos, vinyl records (12" and 7"), calendars, posters, t-shirts, patches, pendants (necklaces), tour books, sheet music, songbooks, (unofficial) biographies and all kinds of promotional items. If you're looking for imports, limited edition or out-of-print items, this really is the best place to look -- and you'll find Bon Jovi's standard catalogue here too.
Amazon (UK)
Amazon (USA)
There are two main ways of buying items from Amazon -- you can buy brand-new items from Amazon's own catalogue of stock (you can identify these items as they have a "READY TO BUY?" panel), or you can buy items from third parties through Amazon Marketplace (listed via the "MORE BUYING CHOICES" panel). Items for sale from third parties may be brand-new, or used... and the price varies too. The choice, as they say, is yours. Amazon themselves carry Bon Jovi's standard catalogue -- CDs (albums and singles), DVDs and videos -- along with some imports and limited edition items. They also carry a few Bon Jovi calendars, songbooks and (unofficial) biographies. If you can't find the item that you want as brand-new, in Amazon's own catalogue, or in an acceptable condition in Amazon Marketplace, you might be able to find it in Amazon's Auctions or zShops instead. Amazon's Marketplace, Auctions and zShops all carry "collectable" Bon Jovi items, and are worth checking out if you're looking for a rare item.
HMV (UK)
HMV carry Bon Jovi's standard catalogue -- CDs (albums and singles), DVDs and videos -- along with some imports and limited edition items. They also carry a few Bon Jovi calendars, sheet music, songbooks and (unofficial) biographies.
Push Posters
If you search for Bon Jovi items on Push Poster's website, you should find a selection of Bon Jovi posters, t-shirts, patches and pendants (necklaces). Note: Sometimes they also have copies of the "Songs & Visions" tour book as well, but if you plan on buying that, you should be aware that it only includes Jon (not the band), and only one or two pages are about Jon.
CD WOW!
You can buy Bon Jovi CDs (albums only) and DVDs at very competitive prices from CD WOW!'s website. They only tend to carry recent releases though, so if you're trying to buy Bon Jovi's complete back catalogue, you'll probably need to buy the older albums from elsewhere. If you want to get the latest Bon Jovi release at a bargain price though, CD WOW! is one of the first places that you should look. (When Bon Jovi are touring the UK, you may also find Bon Jovi concert tickets on CD WOW! too.)
Play.com
Play.com is another very competitively priced online store, and they sell Bon Jovi CDs (albums only), DVDs, calendars, sheet music, songbooks, (unofficial) biographies and ringtones. They carry Bon Jovi's standard catalogue, and not just the recent releases.
Musicroom
Musicroom is the place to find Bon Jovi sheet music and songbooks. They also sell a few (unofficial) Bon Jovi biographies as well.
iTunes (UK)
The iTunes Music Store doesn't sell any physical products -- once you've purchased the songs that you want, you download the songs on to your computer and play them using the iTunes software and/or your iPod (if you have one). The great thing about the iTunes Music Store is that you can pick just the individual songs that you want -- you don't have to buy an entire album when you only want two or three songs from it. You'll find Bon Jovi's standard catalogue of albums here, plus a few singles as well.
